Jane McCloskey 

Jane is an accredited coach, crisis advisor, risk culture specialist, leader and change maker of 30 years experience. Her experience spans FTSE 100 companies, the UK's major broadcasters, academia, UK National and local government and the public, private, not-for-profit and SME sectors. She nurtures, develops and amplifies talent and creates impactful and dynamic people, culture and content strategies for businesses large and small. Jane also has an eclectic private client list embracing creatives, politicians and entrepreneurs. ​She has deep experience in culture change, creating high performance businesses and is a crisis and change management specialist working with businesses, teams and individuals. 

 

Jane's coaching clients range from blue chip C-suite to new leaders including celebrities and on-screen talent, seasoned executives and board members. She supports performers and individuals with public profile to reflect, re-balance and raise their game. Jane consults and advises extensively in the corporate culture and risk culture space, reviewing business values and practices, troubleshooting where needed and advising on growth and development to create successful and resilient high performance businesses. She has international experience in this arena advising global clients on best practise and strategies to suit differing regional conditions.  

 

In her executive career Jane held a sequence of leadership roles at ITV and the BBC including as the BBC's Director of Organisational Change overseeing large scale cultural and financial change across the Corporation for Mark Thompson and his executive team. As the BBC's Controller, Strategic Partnerships she co-created the BBC/Arts Council digital channel The Space. No stranger to content creation, she is an RTS award winning Executive Producer and has been a Professor of Broadcast Media.​

After 25 years in leadership, Jane gained her coaching accreditation at the renown Ashridge Hult International Business School where she is now an associate coach. She is also a mindfulness advocate and has her own invaluable daily practise. ​Supporting her ESG advisory work, Jane has served on fourteen Boards as a non-executive director, trustee and independent Chair. Jane Chaired The National Dance Company for five years including during the pandemic and was credited with creating an exemplar of Board composition and culture. She was the first Independent Trustee at IOSH and has served on multiple Audit and Risk Committees. In her environmental work Jane was the BBC's Controller of Sustainability and a founder board member of Albert the industry-wide carbon calculator. She has advised DEFRA on food sustainability strategy as part of The Great Food Plan and was a Trustee of Marwell Wildlife a leading global conservation trust. She has deep experience of governance, corporate purpose, social action, audit and risk management. ​

 

Jane divides her time between the UK and Tuscany where she has a side-hustle making very high quality olive oil. ​​
